Amitabh Bachchan to take a break from work to heal, films put on hold

Amitabh Bachchan shared a picture from the hospital bed stating, “the leftovers of incidents from the times of DON and the cracks and breaks now playing up .. and placing themselves in important avenues which restrict movement."

The actor will reportedly wrap up the shoot for Nagraj Manjule’s football film Jhund and after its release in December, Big B will take rest and will put a hold on all his other commitments. Reports say that Jaya, Shweta, and Abhishek have insisted that the actor take medical advice seriously. Hence, he will take a long break from work to give himself time to heal.

Earlier, due to health troubles, Amitabh Bachchan had to skip the inaugural ceremony of the 25th Kolkata International Film Festival, which he has been attending for the past six years.

His statement on social media read, “Was to be in Kolkata for KIFF, but a medical condition put me in bed .. apologies KIFF and the passionate people of Kolkata .. I shall make up someday .. sorry,”

Apart from Jhund, Big B will feature in Chehre with Emraan Hashmi, Ranbir Kapoor & Alia Bhatt’s film Brahmastra, and with Ayushmann Khurrana in Gulabo Sitabo.
