RJ Balaji needs no introduction to the Tamil film audiences. From starting out his career as a Radio Jockey to becoming a successful director, his journey is no less than an inspiring tale. Today, this young talented artist turns 35. On the occasion of his birthday, here is a recap into his career.

RJ Balaji's original name is Balaji Patturaj. He was born and brought up in Chennai. After completing his post-graduation in journalism. Balaji started off her career as a Radio Jockey at Radio Mirchi Coimbatore. Eventually, he turned as a television presenter and then an actor.
Balaji first made his acting appearance in the 2013 film Ethir Neechal. He played a cameo role in this movie. His first full-length role was in the movie Theeya Velai Seyyanum Kumaru, which got released in the same year. With his stint in acting, Balaji got more popularity among the audiences. He then went on to act in many notable films like Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, Devi, Kadavul Irukaan Kumaru, Kaatru Veliyidai, Spyder, Vellaikaran, Thana Serndha Kottam and Devi 2. He turned as a lead hero with the 2019 film LKG. The film was a success at the box office. Currently, RJ Balaji is acting in films like Indian 2, Walter, and Mookuthi Amman. He also turned as a director with Mookuthi Amman. He is directing the film along with RJ Saravanan. Nayanthara is playing the lead role in it. Mookuthi Amman will hit the screens soon after the theaters reopen.
