Basil Joseph starrer realistic drama movie "Palthu Janwar" has made more than Rs 8.5 crores in 17 days, outpacing the box office earnings of the recently released movies "Ottu" and "Oru Thekkan Thallu Case."
Palthu Janwar, which debuted in theatres on September 2, is said to have made Rs 8.5 crores in 17 days, according to Twitter communities that track the box office receipts of Malayalam films. The sum is enormous given that "Palthu Janwar" received little publicity and lacked major performers.
In "Palthu Janwar," which starred Basil Joseph as the title character, the audience overwhelmingly gave the movie excellent reviews, praising it for its realistic execution and outstanding acting. Shammi Thilakan, an actor, received praise for the role he played in this Basil Joseph movie.
The script for "Palthu Janwar," directed by Sangeeth P Rajan, was written by Vinoy Thomas and Aneesh Anjali. Both the editing by Kiran Das and the cinematography by Renadive added on to the positives of the movie. The soundtrack for the film was composed by Justin Varghese.
Other notable performers that appeared in "Palthu Janwar" alongside Basil Joseph included Indrans, Johny Antony, Dileesh Pothan, Shammi Thilakan, Unnimaya Prasad, Jaya Kurup, and Thankam Mohan.
On the other hand, the audience was quite complimentary of Basil Joseph's portrayal of the judge in Kunchacko Boban's "Nna, Thaan Case Kodu." The actor is also working on a number of extremely ambitious projects, including "Pookkaalam," "Kapp," "Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hei," and "Kadina Kadoramee Andakadaham."
