Boney Kapoor, the senior producer in the film industry incurs huge losses with film set getting dismantled due to lock down

We already know that shootings of more than 30 Hindi films, television series and digital shows got halted because of the lockdown. Producer Boney Kapoor's three production ventures also got halted. The Coronavirus pandemic has affected Boney’s upcoming film, 'Maidaan'. Being made with a huge budget, the film which is about soccer features Ajay Devgn in the lead role and the company has built an enormous set which later got dismantled due to the lockdown.

Also, the producer had to send his international crew back to their homes which hiked the budget. "We have built a massive outdoor set in a 16-acre plot. Just as the shoot was going to get started, the pandemic hit the world. To ensure the safety of our entire crew, we had to stop all the works and send everyone back to their homes." Said Boney Kapoor.

"The set has now been dismantled. Now, it will take at least two months to rebuild the set. If constructions can resume in September, our shooting can commence in November. This has made us face massive losses,” added Boney Kapoor.

Boney Kapoor is currently producing a film in Telugu with Pawan Kalyan. Vakeel Saab is the title of the movie.
