Producer Boney Kapoor has been on a remaking spree. He has nearly half a dozen films that are different stages of the remake. Now, it looks like Boney Kapoor has bagged yet another remake. His production company has secured the rights of Mammootty's recently-released film, One, directed by Santhosh Viswanath. Reports suggest that Anil Kapoor might be roped in to play Mammootty's role in the remake. However, an official announcement regarding Anil Kapoor's role is yet to be made. Interestingly, it was Prasad Publicity's Rajesh Vasani who suggested Boney buy One's remake rights.
Vasani told The Times of India, "We can proudly say that one Kapoor has captured the South industry now. Boney has made the super successful 'Vakeel Saab' and more recently, the remake of 'Pink' in Telugu with Pawan Kalyan. Soon, he will splash Ajith Kumar’s 'Valimai' in Tamil. He is also going to remake 'Article 15' in Tamil with Udhayanidhi Stalin." One shows Mammootty playing the role of Kadakkal Chandran, the Chief Minister of Kerala. He undergoes a major transformation and tries to implement the Right to Recall law to replace corrupt ministers. Soon, the cast and crew of One's Hindi remake will be announced.
