If rumours are anything to go by, Thalapathy Vijay
and creative director AR Murugadoss are all set to team up once again for the actor's 65th outing in Tamil cinema. The project, which has been tentatively titled as Thalapathy 65, will be a sequel to Vijay-Murugadoss duo's 2012-released blockbuster Thuppakki.
initially, there were reports that Vijay will be teaming up with Sudha Kongara of Soorai Pottru fame for his 65th film. However, things didn't materialize as Sudha has informed Vijay that she needs more time to fine-tune her script. She informed me that she will be able to start the shoot by September. But the actor is not in a mood to wait or take a break. He is now planning to team up with another director who has bound script ready for him. At the same time, Murugadoss is also waiting for the date of a big hero to start a film. Reportedly he has narrated a line Vijay and is waiting for his approval.
This film of Vijay will be produced by Sun Pictures, the production house which bankrolled the actor's Sarkar directed by Murugadoss.
Murugadoss and Vijay had previously worked together in Thuppakki, Kaththi, and Sarkar. If they join hands again, it will be their fourth collaboration.
