Thalapathy Vijay's fans were eagerly awaiting the release of his film Master. However, due to the coronavirus outbreak, the release of the film stands halted indefinitely. This new update on Vijay's upcoming film Thalapathy 65 might cheer them up. The latest buzz on the rumour mill is that director AR Murugadoss will cast not one but two leading actresses in the film Thalapathy 65.
Rumour has it that Thalapathy 65 is a sequel to Vijay-Murugadoss duo’s 2012 blockbuster Thuppakki. Earlier it was also stated that Kajal Aggarwal, who appeared as the leading lady in Thuppakki will be re-appearing in the sequel. She will be reprising her character Nisha. The latest buzz is that the producers are looking to cast a second female lead. Rumour has it Ala Vaikunthapurramloo actress Pooja Hegde is in talks to play the role. Pooja’s latest tweet, the actress confirmed that she will be doing a Tamil project this year. The tweet has fueled the rumours. However, the confirmation is yet to arrive.
Thalapathy 65 is the fourth film for the Vijay-AR Murugadoss duo. The film is being bankrolled by Sun Pictures. Another rumour surrounding the film is that the production has decided to slash the budget. Thus, the director AR Murugadoss will apparently charge 50% of his usual fee. The film shoot will kick-start in November 2020 if all things go according to plan. To stick to the schedule, the director AR Murugadoss is reportedly working on his script in self-isolation communicating with his writing team through video conferencing and other means. The musician S Thaman will be composing the film's score. The film's official statements will arrive after the lockdown is over.
