Sarileru Neekevvaru pre-release event took place in Hyderabad in a grand manner. A lot of film personalities graced the occasion and extended their best wishes to the film unit. Among all the speeches, Chiranjeevi's speech stood as a major highlight as his banter with Vijayashanthi caught everyone's attention.
Megastar Chiranjeevi and Vijayashanti worked together for almost 22 movies but then distance grew them at one point and both parted ways with different opinions on political platforms. When Chiranjeevi entered politics, Vijayashanthi made some remarks on him for which he got hurt. Chiranjeevi reminded the same during his speech and asked her how could she do that to him and clarified that he never made any comments on her.
Reminding the same, Chiranjeevi even recollected the work experience with her, especially the songs that they did. Vijayashanthi too gave strong replies to Chiranjeevi saying that film life is different and political life is different. She even asked him if he is ready to act with her again for which Megastar showed interest. Chiranjeevi heaped praises over Vijayashanti saying that she is a big asset for Sarileru Neekevvaru. He also expressed happiness over her comeback in cinema.
Chiranjeevi also said, "Politics creates enemies while movies develop friendship between people."
On a concluding note, Chiranjeevi credited Mahesh Babu for helping him unite with Vijaya Shanti again.
