Actor Dulquer Salmaan says comparing him with Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan is like insulting Shah Rukh. The actor was responding to a media person's question comparing Shah Rukh Khan's performance in Veer Zaara with Dulquer's performance in Sita Ramam.
"Shah Rukh Khan has always been an inspiration. I used to think of him when I had doubts about my career. Shah Rukh has such an amazing personality. Shah Rukh has made a big impact in his dealings with people. Comparing me with Shah Rukh Khan is tantamount to insulting him. Because there can only be one Shahrukh," said Dulquer Salmaan.
"Even in a room full of people, Shah Rukh behaves with great care. If he is talking to you at that time, it may even seem like you are the only one in the room. love Shahrukh's movies a lot.I went to the theatre with my sister and watched Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge more than once. Shah Rukh Khan is a great role model for everyone in terms of how to treat people and how to treat women," Dulquer added.
Dulquer Salmaan's last release was Sita Ramam, directed by Hanu Raghavapudi. After its theatrical release, the film has started streaming on Amazon Prime. The film also stars Mrinal Thakur and Rashmika Mandhana in the lead roles. R. Balki's Chupp is the upcoming Dulquer movie. The film will hit the theatres on September 23.
