Dulquer Salmaan's multi-lingual gangster flick will have a theatrical release on May 28th. The latest update from the makers is that a teaser will be out on March 26th. Dulquer took to his social media to confirm the news.
Dulquer Salmaan shared a poster of the film and wrote, "The con is coming and you do not want to miss it. Catch the teaser of Kurup on March 26th!" The poster shows Dulquer leaning against a posh car. Sources say the multilingual film will have simultaneous releases in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
Dulquer Salmaan is playing the titular character in the gangster flick. Srinath Rajendra is directing the much-anticipated film. Inspired by the life of Sukumara Kurup, the film is rumoured to showcase one of his infamous crimes.
Kurup marks the second collaboration for the actor-director pair after their hit film Second Show. Earlier, rumours of Kurup taking the OTT route was making the rounds. Dulquer who is also producing the film under his home banner Wayfair Wayfarer Films in association with M-Star Entertainments squashed the rumours.
Actors Indrajith Sukumaran, Shine Tom Chacko and Shobita Dulipala will appear in the other pivotal roles. Tovino Thomas will make a cameo appearance.
Meanwhile, Dulquer Salmaan was last seen in the Malayalam film Varane Avashyamund and the Tamil film Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal. He will next appear in the Tamil film Hey Sinamika. Kajal Aggarwal and Aditi Rao Hydari will also appear in the film. Dulquer also has Rosshan Andrrews' Salute in his kitty.
