A woman slams Dulquer Salmaan's Varane Avishyamund team for using her photo without taking any consent; Dulquer apologizes her publicly

Popular Malayalam actor Dulquer Salmaan turned as a producer with the film Varane Avashyamund. This Anoop Sathyan directorial was a hit at the box office. It has landed on the OTT platforms Sun Nxt and Netflix a few days back. This is when the film landed in trouble. A twitter user posted a screenshot from the film and condemned the usage of her picture without her consent. The picture showed her weight loss transformation from being fat to fit. The concerned user felt it as body shaming on a public forum. Dulquer apologized for the mishap and said that it was not intentionally done.

Posting the screenshot of her photo from the film, the concerned twitter user wrote, "Dear @dulQuer @DQsWayfarerFilm. Thank you for the feature in your film but I’d like you to excuse me from body-shaming on a public forum. The concerned image was used without my consent & knowledge in your film. I’d like to claim ownership of the same. #VaraneAvashyamund."

Responding to her, Dulquer commented, "We take full responsibility for the error on our behalf. Will look into it with concerned departments of the film to understand how the images were sourced. I apologize from my end and from the film as well as @DQsWayfarerFilm for any difficulties caused. It wasn't intentional."

The user was happy with Dulquer's reply but wanted her photo either to get blurred or removed with immediate effect. She wrote, "I appreciate your prompt reply. While you take your time to investigate the matter, it would be ideal that either the scenes are deleted with my pictures in it or the images are blurred effective immediately. @NetflixIndia #VaraneAvashyamund."

The action is still not taken yet but the sources claim that the team is working towards making the necessary changes.
