COVID-19: The reason behind Akshay Kumar Donating ₹25 Crore to Coronavirus Relief

The novel Corona Virus is hitting India hard and fast and every class of public is suffering from the increasing death tolls by the virus. In these trying times, the Bhool Bhulaiyaa actor Akshay Kumar pledged to contribute Rs. 25 crores to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's relief fund to fight the outbreak of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) in India. His wife Twinkle Khanna revealed the reason behind his donation which is sure to touch hearts. She said he understands the pain of having nothing because that's how he started out. She expressed her pride over her husband's gesture in such difficult times.

 
She said, "The man makes me proud. When I asked him if he was sure as it was such a massive amount and we needed to liquidate funds, he just said, ' I had nothing when I started and now that I am in this position, how can I hold back from doing whatever I can for those who have nothing.'" (sic).
 
She replied this to her hubby's tweet wherein he wrote, "This is that time when all that matters is the lives of our people. And we need to do anything and everything it takes. I pledge to contribute Rs 25 crores from my savings to @narendramodi ji’s PM-CARES Fund. Let’s save lives, Jaan hai toh jahaan hai.
