The coronavirus has hit the film and television industries. With the lockdown in place, all film/tv shoots stand halted. The tv industry is now bringing back hit shows to attract the viewers' attention. Recently, Doordarshan brought back hit shows like Ramayan and Mahabharat. Zee Kannada has followed suit in bringing back the hit show Weekend with Ramesh.
Weekend with Ramesh is an interactive talk show that interviews popular personal. On the show, Ramesh Aravind, the show's host talks to the interviewees about their life journey. The show all set to re-air starting from April 11th.
The show has hosted a number of celebrities from different walks of life. From politicians to actors to businessmen. Some of the personalities include Sudha Murty, Siddaramaiah, Puneeth Rajkumar, Yograj Bhatt and many more.
The show will begin with the episode featuring Challenging Star Darshan. This particular episode 11 of Season 2, which was telecast on April 11, 2016, got the highest TRP for the channel. Following this will be actor Jaggesh’s episode.
Pradyummna Narahalli is the show's writer. Raghavendra Hunsur is the creative director. Abbaiah Naidu Studio has been bankrolling the show. Weekend with Ramesh has had four successful seasons.
Meanwhile, the show's host Ramesh Aravind awaits the release of his directorial film 100. Due to the coronavirus outbreak, the film's release date remains undecided. He is also directing the Tamil and Kannada remakes of the hit Bollywood film Queen. The Tamil remake titled "Paris Paris" stars actress Kajal Aggarwal. The Kannada film titled Butterfly stars actress Parul Yadav.
