The whole Bollywood industry got shocked as Irrfan Khan passed away last week. Followed by Rishi Kapoor, one day apart. Everyone was mourning and paying their tributes to the two legendary Bollywood actors. Among the many were Deepika Padukone who worked with Khan during the filming of Piku. Her Instagram entry about Khan brought all the fans to tears. On the account of five year anniversary of Piku Padukone remembered Khan. She shared some stills from the set of the film. She shared a video where Padukone and Khan are playing tennis together. They are in giggles as the other crew members watch them.
Padukone has played tennis on a national level. In the video, she is enjoying a light moment from the shooting with a dear friend and co-star Irrfan. She uploaded this video and captioned it saying "Please come back, Irrfan Khan" and added a broken-heart emoticon to her post.
On Friday, Padukone celebrated five years of Piku by uploading a sweet photo of her with Irrfan and director Shoojit Sircar. The picture shows all three of them in the middle of a conversation. Along with the picture she also added lyrics of the song Lamhe Guzar Gaye from Piku for Irrfan Khan. She wrote, "Rest in peace my dear friend."
Padukone only ever worked with Irrfan once and that is Piku. She played the character of Piku, Amitabh Bachchan played the character of her dad Bhaskor Banerjee. Irrfan Khan played the role of Rana who drove them to their ancestral home in Kolkata, all the way from Delhi. It released in 2015 and received many good reviews. ain.
