Dhanush has had three releases in 2019 in the form of The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir, Asuran and Enai Noki Paayum Thota, while The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir and Enai Noki Paayum Thota turned out to be average performers at the box office, Asuran became one of the best films of the year.

With the same high, Dhanush moved on to his upcoming film, which will be directed by Karthik Subbaraj. In fact, he was shooting for the untitled film in London on the day Asuran hit the theatres. He has also completed his portions for Karthik Subbaraj’s film and has started shooting for his next film.
After watching Director Mari Selvaraj’s Pariyerum Perumal in 2018, Dhanush immediately signed a film with him. After almost a year, he has begun shooting for his upcoming film with Mari Selvaraj. The first schedule is currently underway in Tirunelveli and is expected to go on for a couple more weeks.
Going by the reports, Yogi Babu is also part of the crew. Rumors suggest that he will play a pivotal role in the film as he did in Pariyerum Perumal. Composer Santhosh Narayanan will score the tunes for the film and he has already completed two songs for the album already. Soon, the makers will announce the rest of the cast and crew.
