Dia is now in demand for remake rights

K S Ashoka's directorial film Dia has been receiving both popular and critical acclaim. The film's producer Krishna Chaitanya has said that he has received at least 60 calls from filmmakers inquiring about remake rights. It seems like there is a lot of interest in remaking the film.

The producers are yet to make a decision. Chaitanya added, “ There have been talks about remaking Dia in other languages, and one filmmaker has come forward to take the rights for all the languages. We are having discussions with him,” he says, adding, “ The demand is mostly coming from Telugu filmmakers, who are keen to have Dia made in their language. A producer from the US is also keen to take up the dubbing rights for the Telugu version and releasing it in theatres. However, nothing has been finalized, and we are yet to close the deal,”

Dia is director Ashoka's second film. He had previously directed the horror film 6-5=2. Dia stars actors Kushee, Pruthvi Ambar and Deekhsith. The film was written and directed by K S Ashoka. Ajaneesh Loknath composed the film's score. Krishna Chaitanya produced the film under the Sri Swanalatha Productions.

Dia is a romantic thriller while follows the life of title character Dia as he navigates her complicated romantic relationships.

Dia hit the theatres on 7th February 2020. Owing to the coronavirus lockdown, the film was then re-released on Amazon Prime. The film has been well received on the platform and is gaining popularity as the days go by.
