Did Koratala Siva dump Jr NTR for Allu Arjun? Why did their project get shelved?

Allu Arjun took to his social media profile to announce his new film with director Koratala Siva. Tentatively titled #AA21, this film will be produced by Mikkilineni Sudhakar, who is a distributor turned producer. The film is jointly produced by Yuvasudha Arts and GA2 Pictures.

Allu Arjun wrote, “Very much elated to announce my next film #AA21 with Koratala Shiva garu. Been looking forward for this for quiet a while. My best wishes to Sudakar Garu for his 1st venture . Sandy , Swathi & Nutty this is my way of showing of my love for you guys.” (sic)

But well, not many know that Koratala Siva has dumped Jr NTR for Allu Arjun. Yes. You read it right. After the release of Srimanthudu in 2015, Koratala Siva announced his next with Jr NTR. That film was titled Janatha Garage. And in 2017, the same director announced another film with Jr NTR. A press release was also circulated and a poster as well, which announced that Mikkilineni Sudhakar is going to turn producer with this film.

Well, nothing about the film was heard after that and there were rumours that the project got shelved. Buzz was that it was a Student Political Leader kind of story where Jr NTR will be playing the leader.

Three years since then, the same project is announced once again. But this time, the lead actor is not Jr NTR but Allu Arjun. This is a shock to many of Tarak’s fans because the reason behind the actor not being part of the project is unknown. A clarification on the same is awaited from the versatile director.

Meanwhile, Koratala Siva has even made Bharat Ane Nenu with Mahesh Babu and is all set to begin shooting for his upcoming film Acharya, which is a Chiranjeevi and Kajal Aggarwal starrer.
