Digital media is a new phenomenon in the entertainment industry. In fact, most people term it as the future of cinema as well as other entertainment mediums. Now, we have many streaming platforms, providing entertainment. Some of the big players in this arena include Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+Hotstar, and Zee5. Now, we hear that popular Telugu producer Daggubati Suresh Babu is also planning to venture into this medium. The Tollywood grapevine stated that Suresh Babu is planning to start his own OTT platform soon.
According to the sources, the talks and works are going on to develop this idea. We will get more details on this development very soon. Recently, another popular producer Allu Aravind has ventured into this business by starting off his own OTT platform Aha. This is a dedicated Telugu streaming platform, which only showcases Telugu originals. Within just three months of its launch, Aha managed to release quite a few Telugu original shows like Kotha Poradu, Mastis, Shit Happens, and Sin. It has also premiered various new Telugu films like Khaidi, Arjun Suravaram, Sawari and Kanulu Kanulanu Dochayante.
Now, even Suresh Babu may follow a similar pattern to launch his streaming site. However, we have to wait for a few more days to get clarity on it. Meanwhile, on the production front, Suresh Babu's last production venture was the 2019 film Venky Mama. His next production project is Narappa. Directed by Srikanth Addala, this film features Daggubati Venkatesh and Priyamani in the lead roles. This movie is currently in its production stages.
