Arjun Suravaram Movie Review: Good first-half let down by poor writing

Arjun Suravaram Movie Story:

Arjun Lenin Suravaram (Nikhil Siddharth) is a television reporter and aspires to end up in the BBC. He takes his job seriously and displays social responsibility. The reporter gets framed while he tries to crack an education loan scam and the cops arrest him. Soon, he is released on bail.

Once he is out, Arjun takes all the necessary steps to crack the scam and the people who were involved in the fake certificate mafia. The rest of the film is about Arjun's efforts to do good in society.

Arjun Suravaram Movie Performance:

After a long time, Nikhil Siddhartha has gotten a meaty role that could explore his acting skills. He has taken the role in his hand and has done a perfect job to show everyone that he's a good actor.

Lavanya Tripathi did not have a full-fledged character to play in Arjun Suravaram and therefore there is nothing new to talk about her performance. She has played her role with ease.

Posani Murali Krishna, on the other hand, has got an emotional role that evokes sympathy. Being an experienced actor, this is more like a cakewalk for him and something that he could do in his sleep.

Nagineedu, Pragathi, Vennela Kishore, Sathya, Vidyullekha Raman, and Raja Ravindra form the supporting cast and they have all done their best.

Arjun Suravaram Movie Positives:

Arjun Suravaram is the official Telugu remake of the Tamil film Kanithan. Director TN Santhosh, who helmed the film has directed this venture. The filmmaker has taken a good theme to showcase.

The first-half of Arjun Suravaram is its strength as it establishes the story in a clear cut manner. Santhosh takes enough time and cares to set the ball rolling for the second half.

The production value of Arjun Suraravam gets special brownie points as the setup for the film has given a good screen presence. The song Kanne Kanne which was shot abroad is a delight to watch on-screen.

Comedy sequences performed by Vennela Kishore and Satya have worked out in the film's favor as they evoke laughter.

Arjun Suravaram Movie Negatives:

The screenplay in the second half of Arjun Suravaram is a huge letdown as the story gets repetitive. The director could have concentrated more on the screenplay and could have introduced some nice twists to make the story engaging.

Arjun Suravaram Movie Verdict:

Arjun Suravaram has a solid storyline that had the potential to turn into a brilliant and engaging film. But, there are some loose ends and repetitive scenes that bring down the entertainment level.
