When the announcement about the reunion special episode came out, everyone showed a huge interest. A lot of people on social media also thanked the makers of Friends for coming up with the new episode. Much to the shock and disappointment of everyone now, the episode got postponed.
A Hollywood Reporter revealed the news of the postponement. According to the report, the unscripted episode will go air on HBO Max. But, the shoot for the same did not happen. Originally, the makers planned the shoot next week at the iconic Stage 24 of the Warner Bros Studio lot in Burbank. The original also got filmed there. But, unfortunately, due to rising health concerns because of the COVID-19 outbreak, the production house has canceled the shoot now. The production house will not go ahead at least until May, says the sources. A new date is yet to get revealed as the production unit is still unclear when they would be able to resume work. Many shows came to a sudden halt as the world begins to self-quarantine and are following social distancing.
Representatives from HBO Max and producers Warner Bros TV reportedly declined the comment. They added that all six original cast members Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer will come together for the reunion.
