IFFI to honour Amitabh Bachchan for his contribution to cinema

The 50th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) has just unveiled its lineup. It will hold the fest from 20 to 28 November in Goa and will feature around 250 films from 76 countries. It will honour and showcase Dadasaheb Phalke Award winner Amitabh Bachchan‘s selected films at the festival, Information & Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar said.  

 
They will hold the festival from 20th-28th November in Goa and will screen over 200 films from 76 countries. ‘Gully Boy’ movie will screen at the festival.   
 
Apart from collection of the latest art cinema gems from all across the world, several contemporary Bollywood mainstream films will screen at the festival, too. These include Uri: The Surgical Strike, Gully Boy, Super 30 and Badhaai Ho. From Telugu F2 is the only film which made to the IFFI 2019.   
 
This year, the Feature Film Jury headed by acclaimed filmmaker and screenwriter Priyadarshan. The Jury has chosen Abhishek Shah’s Gujarati film Hellaro which won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film at the 66th National Film Awards as the opening film of Indian Panorama.
