On May 8, Kangana Ranaut tested positive for the novel coronavirus. As per her doctor's advice, she was under home quarantine. Announcing the news to her fans on Instagram, Kangana called the novel coronavirus small-time flu that got bad press. Her post on Instagram went crazy viral and was later taken down from the photo-sharing platform for sharing misinformation and violating the Instagram guidelines. Now, after 10 days, Kangana informed her fans that she tested negative for the novel coronavirus. She shared a video to inform the same.
Kangana posted an Instagram story for her fans and wrote, "Hello everyone. Today I tested negative for covid, I want to say a lot about how I beat the virus but I am told not to offend covid fan clubs. Yes, there are people out there who get offended if you show disrespect towards the virus. Anyway thanks for your wishes and love. (sic)." A few hours later, Kangana shared a video explaining how she fought the virus through Indian treatments like yoga, meditation, and breathing. She posted the video and wrote, "Fighting Covid. I am not an expert on covid but sharing my journey of fighting the virus, hope it helps (sic)."
