Karan Johar wants to begin his second innings as an actor; Accepts that he has a poor track record

Karan Johar, most star & fame associated name of B-Town needs no introduction. Debuted as a director, Karan johar went on to make films with Shah Rukh Khan and also produced a bunch of films under his own banner Dharma Productions, which has established on the grounds of his father. Karan Johar also hosts a famous chat show 'Koffee with Karan.' Although Karan got multiple chances as an actor, he rejected them outright but did not accept one. But when it came from Anurag Kashyap, he made his acting debut with 'Bombay Velvet'. Bombay Velvet stars Ranbir Kapoor & Anushka Sharma in the lead roles and Karan Johar played the antagonist. The film failed miserably at the box-office and criticized heavily by the critics and audience. After that, Karan Johar hasn't done any roles.

Well, yesterday he posted a selfie picture on his Instagram and expressed his desire to act on screen again.

Karan Johar quoted "I know my acting stint was scarier than the current virus but there is no harm in hoping for a second chance! So to all enterprising casting directors, to all risk-taking filmmakers, to critics with a high threshold of pain and too easy to please audiences, I have an announcement to make!!!! I AM AVAILABLE FOR FATHER ROLES! (at 48 with a poor track record I promise I can’t afford to be choosy.)"

Well, it was his humility to mention that he has a poor track as an actor, it looks like he means what he posted. We have to see if anyone approaches him after the announcement and also it is interesting to see his sudden interest in taking up acting again.
