The film is the first outing in the combination of Mahesh Babu and dashing director Puri Jagannath. Featuring Ileana DCruz as the female lead, the movie got released on 28 April 2006. So, next month, the film is going to celebrate its 14th anniversary. Even today, Pokiri is still considered as one of the classic hits in Mahesh Babu's career. As per the latest reports, on the occasion of 'Pokiri' turning 14, the special show of the film will get screened in Andhra Pradesh on April 28, 2020.
