Sankranthi holiday season often proves to be a profitable release window for Tollywood. Multiple Telugu biggies hit the silver screens during the festival season and a fair few of them yield rich dividends at the box office. If reports are to be believed, we might be witnessing an interesting clash between two Telugu biggies at the Tollywood box office next to Sankranthi.
The makers of Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata and Pawan Kalyan’s Ayyappanum Koshiyum remake are eyeing the next Sankranthi season as the possible release window for their respective films.
Both Sarkaru Vaari Paata and Ayyappanum Koshiyum remakes are under production now. The stakes are high on both the A-lister projects and a Sankranthi release will serve their box office prospects quite well. But it would also mean that the two biggies will have to indulge in a head-on crash at the ticket counters.
Mahesh Babu is sharing the screen space with Keerthy Suresh in Sarkaru Vaari Paata and the film is directed by Parasuram. As for the Ayyappanum Koshiyum's remake, the film features Pawan Kalyan, Rana Daggubati, Nithya Menen, and Aishwarya Rajesh in the lead roles. It is directed by Sagar Chandra. Trivikram is providing the screenplay and dialogues for the social drama.
