Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan New Poster Out. Makers Confirm Film's Release In 2022.

Filmmaker Mani Ratnam is waiting for the release of his production venture, Navarasa, which will release on Netflix on August 6. Navarasa is a production venture of Mani Ratnam with Jayendra Panchapakesan. As the film is a few weeks away from release, Mani Ratnam is all set to concentrate on his upcoming film, Ponniyin Selvan. It is considered as one of his ambitious films in his career. The makers of Ponniyin Selvan released a new poster of the film on July 19. The new poster shows a sword and a shield with a growling tiger's face on them. The poster also says that the first part of Ponniyin Selvan will release in 2022.

Lyca Productions, one of the film's production houses, shared the poster and wrote, "The golden era comes to life! #PonniyinSelvan #PS1 #ManiRatnam @MadrasTalkies_ (sic)." Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Chiyaan Vikram, Trisha, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Ashwin Kakumanu are in prominent roles. The film is based on a novel of the same name written by Kallki Krishnamoorthy. Ponniyin Selvan's music is composed by Ar Rahman. Recently, we had reported that the film's shooting resumed in Pondicherry and the team will move to Hyderabad for a month-long schedule.
