Complete actor Mohanlal celebrates his 60th birthday today. All his fans and industry colleagues are pouring him with wishes since morning. As a return gift, Mohanlal made an important announcement. He announced the much-anticipated sequel for his 2013 film Drishyam. He also released the concept video of the film.
This came in as a big announcement of the day. All fans are very much excited about this news. However, there is no news about the launch date of the movie. Maybe the makers will get announce more details in the coming days. Jeethu Joseph, who directed the original, will also helm this movie. It will get bankrolled by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner Aashirwad Cinemas. This will be the third collaboration between Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph, after Drishyam and Ram (under production).
Currently, Mohanlal is awaiting the release of his film Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham. Directed by Priyadarshan, this film features Manju Warrier, Keerthy Suresh, Arjun Sarja, and Kalyani Priyadarshan in the other important roles. This period drama was actually supposed to hit the screens on March 25. But it got postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The new release date will get announced once the lockdown gets over. Meanwhile, he is also working for the film Ram, which is being directed by Jeethu Joseph. This film features Trisha as the female lead. This is her first film with Mohanlal. Ram is currently in the shooting stages. The makers are planning to release it by the end of this year. Ramesh P. Pillai and Sudhan S. Pillai are bankrolling this project.
