Dangal director Nitesh Tiwari took almost three years to break to come up with his new film after scoring such a blockbuster. Finally, he came up with the film Chhichhore, which had hit the screens a couple of months ago. Starring Sushanth Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles, this film is a college drama filled with a lot of emotional elements.
Even though it had a lot of similarities with 3 idiots, the film had a unique flavor that connected it to the audience. That also made it a blockbuster at the box office. Now, plans are being made to remake this film in Telugu.
Popular production house 14 Reels Plus bought the remake rights of Chhichhore and they will be doing it in Telugu very soon. We hear that Akkineni Naga Chaitanya will play the lead role in it and Geeta Govindham fame Parasuram will helm the project.
Despite scoring a blockbuster like Geeta Govindham, Parasuram was unable to find an actor for his next film. Though he narrated various scripts to actors like Mahesh Babu and Akhil, none of them got materialized. Thus, he is now planning to direct this remake. The shoot of this film will go on floors early next year. Stay tuned for further updates on the project.
