Actor Nani, hailed as Natural Star, has recently wrapped up the shooting of his forthcoming film Jersey, which is about a cricketer who shines in his 30s. The actor will team up with director Vikram Kumar for his 24th film.
According to sources movie is romantic entertainer where Nani will be romancing five heroines. Reportedly, Vikram Kumar wants to make this a big budget flick and has asked for Rs 50 crore to make the film.
This amount is quite high for Nani and Vikram Kumar’s market. As per trade Nani’s successful films would collect Rs 40 crore from the theatrical release. And with digital and satellite rights, producers, distributors and exhibitors will be able to break even.
The budget for Vikram Kumar’s film is high and if the film fails to impress the audience, it will incur huge losses to everyone. Should Vikram Kumar reconsider the film’s budget?
