Nayanthara Responds To Malavika Mohanan's Criticism Against Her.

Nayanthara has responded to actress Malavika Mohanan's criticism that she acted with full make-up in a hospital scene in a film. Malavika previously criticised a scene in Attlee's 2013 film Raja Rani in an interview. The criticism was that Nayanthara wore a lot of makeup even while acting in a hospital scene in the film. Its video clip went viral on social media. Nayanthara responded to Malavika's criticism in an interview given in connection with the promotion of her new film, "Connect."

Malavika's criticism was made without mentioning Nayanthara's name. "I saw this superstar heroine in a hospital scene. Makeup and hair were flawless. They are dying while in full makeup. Eyeliner was also put on. Not a single hair was out of place. I wondered how someone could die by putting on lipstick so perfectly. In a commercial movie, you have to look good. But shouldn't that be a little closer to reality?" Malavika asked.

Nayanthara also replied without mentioning Malavika's name. "I saw the interview with another heroine. My name is not mentioned in it, but I am meant to be. The criticism was about the make-up I wore in a hospital scene I acted in. They asked whether one should appear so handsome in such a scene. I wouldn't say I was particularly attractive in the hospital scene. But that doesn't mean you have to come off as bad. There is a big difference between a realistic film and a commercial film. That's the kind of get-up you have when acting in a realistic film. The example given by the actress is from a commercial film. Its director wanted to portray me like that," says Nayanthara.
