Netflix 2021: From Kartik Aaryan's Dhamaka to Pagglait, new movies to be released this year

Netflix has recently announced 41 new web series and movies this year, which includes as big as the digital debut shows of Madhuri Dixit and Raveena Tandon, and Kartik Aaryan's action film Dhamaka.

Netflix 2021: From Kartik Aaryan's Dhamaka to Pagglait, new movies to be released this year

Dhamaka:
 
Starring Kartik Aaryan in the lead role, Dhamaka is a thriller-drama film which is an official remake of the 2013 Korean film The Terror Live. It is the story of a Prime time television actor who interviews a terrorist and the events lead him in a dangerous game where he's left with a choice to choose his career or himself. Pagglait:
 
Starring Sanya Malhotra in the centre, Pagglait is a film which marke the journey of a widowed woman who discovers herself. The film also stars Sayani Gupta, Shrutii Sharma, Ashutosh Rana, Raghubir Yadav, Sheeba Chaddha, Meghna Malik and Rajesh Tailang. Bulbul Tarang:
 
Starring Sonakshi Sinha and Tahir Raj, Bulbul Tarang is the story of an innocent girl with more innocent dreams. She wishes to marry a simple guy provided he comes on a horse in his Baraat. Haseen Dillruba:
 
Starring Taapsee Pannu, Vikrant Massey, Hansika Motwani and Harshvardhan Rane in the lead roles, Haseen Dillruba is the story of a woman who gets entagled in the conspiracy of murdering her own husband. The film is directed by Vinil Mathew.
 
Jaadugar:
 
Starring Jitendra Kumar and Arushi Sharma in the lead roles, Jaadugar is the story of a boy who must win a tournament to win the heart of his love interest. It only requires magic to let the girl fall in love with him because his team hasn't won in years. The film has been directed by Sameer Saxena and wriiten by Biswapati Sarkar.
 
Milestone:
 
Starring Suvinder Vicky and Lakshvir Saran in the lead roles, Milestone is a Hindi-language film that released at the Venice Film Festival last year. The story is quite unique of a truck driver Ghalib, who's mourning the demise of a loved one, but makes a milestone of driving the longest stretch. The film has been written, edited and directed by Ivan Ayr.
 
Ajeeb Daastaan:
 
Having a long list of ensemble cast consisting of Fatima Sana Shaikh, Jaideep Ahlawat, Armaan Ralhan, Nushrratt Bharuccha, Abhishek Banerjee, Inayat Verma, Konkona Sen Sharma, Aditi Rao Hydari, Shefali Shah, Manav Kaul, and Tota Roy Chowdhury, Ajeeb Daastaan is an anthology of four perfectly imperfect love stories. The film has been produced by Karan Johar and directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, Shashank Khaitan, Raj Mehta, and Kayoze Irani.
 
Penthouse:
 
Starring Bobby Deol, Arjun Rampal, Sharman Joshi, Mouni Roy, Cyrus Broacha, Tisca Chopra, and Abrar Zahoor, Penthouse is a whodunit in which five married friends own a common penthouse where a mysterious dead body is found. The events following that are a test of their friendship and loyalties. The film has been directed by Abbas-Mustan and written by Girish Dhamija.
 
The Disciple:
 
Starring Aditya Modak, Dr. Arun Dravid, Sumitra Bhave, Deepika Bhide Bhagwat, and Kiran Yadnyopavit, The Disciple won the best screenplay at the Venice Film Festive. This Marathi language film is written and directed by Ramjane Court and executive director includes the Oscar winning Alfonso Cuaron.
 
Jagame Thandhiram:
 
Jagame Thandhiram is a Tamil language film starring Dhanush along with James Cosmo, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Kalaiyarasan, and Joju George. It is the story of a nomadic gangster who's left to choose paths between evil and good. The film has been written and directed by Karthik Subbaraj.
 
Meenakshi Sundereshwar:
 
It is the story of a young couple who come together to get an arrange marriage as their names make Madurai, Tamil Nadu's famous temple “Meenakshi – Sundareshwar". Starring Sanya Malhotra and Abhimanya Dassani (son of Bhagyashree). The film has been directed by Vivek Soni and Karan Johar is one of the producers.
 
Navarasa:
 
It is a nine film anthology made of nine rasa of emotions, "anger, compassion, courage, disgust, fear, laughter, love, peace, and wonder." Revathy, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Anjali, Aditi Balan, Remya Nambeesan, Poorna, Prayaga Martin and more make up for the cast of the film. It has been directed by nine directors.
 
Sardar Ka Grandson:
 
Starring Arjun Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh, Aditi Rao Hydari, John Abraham, Soni Razdan, Kanwaljeet Singh, Kumud Mishra, and Divya Seth, Sardar Ka Grandson is the story of an NRI who returns for her grandmother (Neena Gupta) who has a last wish.
