The novel Corona Virus attack has badly affected the cinema industry worldwide. Several films are being postponed from releasing this month, Bollywood and Hollywood included. All shooting has to stop till 31st March. Celebrities have turned towards warning their fans against the virus in different ways.
Parineeti Chopra also joined this league of celebrities raising awareness. She shared a two-page letter on her Instagram about the virus. The letter talks about the seriousness of the epidemic and urges people to take precautionary measures to curb it.
She wrote in support of the doctors and medical staff at work to reduce and treat this virus. The letter reads, "While all of us have the "luxury" to be house arrested and waiting for news-please spare a thought for the doctors and medical staff around the world who are risking their lives, away from their families, to save us! Exactly like our soldiers do at a war."
She encourages her fans to be responsible and aware and read up on how other countries are taking measures to deal with COVID-19. Her letter further added, "THANK YOU guys. We will NEVER , EVER be able to repay you. Guys let's be responsible.. By socialising/partying/ continuing life as it was, we are putting everyone at risk. Let's learn from what happened in other countries.. Lets stop now! We don't wanna regret later..."
Chopra's latest work, Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar by Dibakar Banerjee. Starring Arjun Kapoor and Pankaj Tripathi were among the films that were set to release in March. Due to the outbreak, the markers postponed its release.
With regard to that she wrote, "Given the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak in the country, we have decided to postpone the release of Dibakar Banerjee's Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar. The health and safety of everyone are of utmost importance at this time."
