Pathaan Advance Bookings: SRK Sets An All-Time Record

Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan has pulled in over Rs 68.18 Cr Gross in advance booking figures. This sum is not just a Bollywood record but an Indian record as well. The film has sold more than 2482025 tickets through advance booking mode globally. The film has had more than its fair share of controversies since the release of its song Besharam Rang. The film has endured extremist anger over the color of the swimsuit worn by Deepika Padukone in a song sequence. Adding to controversies, the name Pathaan itself was challenged. And as a final blow, there are boycott calls and death threats on the film's actors.

Pathaan has sold more than 2482025 tickets. The film has surpassed every benchmark set for advance booking in the industry. The film leads every other competitor by a huge margin. Second-placed KGF 2 has sold over 500000 tickets compared to over two million tickets sold by Pathaan. Pathan sold more than ten lakh tickets on its first day when advance booking opened. It added more than 6 lakh tickets to the list on the second day. On the third day, the film sold more than 7 lakh tickets. The film has bought in more than Rs 68 crore from advance booking alone. The makers had also sold its OTT rights for more than Rs 100 crores. The film is also projected to have a first-day collection of more than Rs 50 crores.
