Extremist organizations have come forward with threats of boycott against the film.
Pathaan was a film that raised huge pre-release hype as a Shah Rukh Khan film. It is also SRK's first film after a long gap of four years. But, after the release of the film's first song called Beshram Rang, controversies started to erupt. Deepika wore a saffron-colored bikini for the song. This angered a section of the viewers. After that, there were calls not to screen the film and to boycott it.
But while the controversies are progressing one way, it is being reported that the post-release business of the film is doing well due to the hype created by the film. In a major update, a new report claims that Pathaan's OTT rights have already been sold for crores.
It is reported that Amazon Prime Video has acquired the OTT rights of Pathan. According to reports, Pathan will release on OTT in late March or early April. As of now, the makers are not making any official announcement about Pathaan's OTT release.
But as reported, Amazon Prime bought the digital streaming rights of Pathaan for Rs 100 crore on Saturday.
