Kamal Haasan is extremely busy by campaigning for his political party Makkal Needhi Maiam for the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections, which is slated to take place in the state on April 6. Post the completion of the election, Kamal Haasan will get on to his upcoming acting projects. At present, he has director Shankar's Indian 2 and Lokesh Kanagaraj's Vikram at different stages of production. After the election, Kamal Haasan will immediately start working on Vikram, which will be produced by Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International.
Reports suggest that Raghava Lawrence has been signed on to play a negative role in Vikram. It is said that Lokesh spoke to Lawrence to play an important role in the film. Also, rumors suggest that Lokesh is also in talks with several leading actors in the Malayalam and Telugu film industries to play Kamal Haasan's villain in the film. Currently, Lawrence is busy with the shooting of Rudhran for which he has teamed up with producer turned actor Kathiresan of 5 Star Creations. After completing Rudhran, Lawrence will work with P Vasu on Chandramukhi 2.
