Megastar Mammootty is thrilled about the release of his upcoming film, Rorschach, which is being directed by Nisam Basheer. The film is all set to hit the theatres on October 7. Mammootty has been promoting his upcoming film in Kerala. During one of the promotional events, Mammootty shared the prospects of his film Rajamanikyam and CBI getting a sequel. In an interview, he said that Rajamanikyam might not get a sequel and called it unnecessary. He, however, said that CBI might get a sequel.
Mammootty said, "Many people want Rajamanikyam to get a sequel. But there is no point in making a second part for that film. Rajamanikyam’s story ends in that film itself. We can’t show his birth or his bonding with his mother, all over again. Not every film can have a sequel. CBI might make a comeback. Because we are only repeating the central character of the franchise. The backdrop of every film is different, as it introduces a new investigation story. Even film demands a fresh story. We can’t repeat the same story again and again, as it might end up looking forced."
Mammootty is waiting for the release of Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam, helmed by Lijo Jose Pellissery. He has wrapped up the shooting of Christopher. Further, he is a part of a Netflix anthology and Amal Neerad's Bilal.
