Speaking in a recent television interview, maverick director SS Rajmouli stated that he felt bored while watching Parasite and slept halfway through. Ever since he made this statement, a section of people started lashing out on Rajamouli. They said that he has the right to express his opinion but he shouldn't have done that as his statements might influence many other people. Finally, Rajamouli responded to this outburst. He said that it was a personal opinion. He further added that he doesn't have anything to say about the Oscars jury as well.
Rajamouli stated that there were many Oscar-winning films in the past which he liked and didn't like as well. He added that it is his personal opinion at the end of the day. With this statement, the netizens may now stop criticizing the director for his opinion on Parasite. For those who are unaware, Parasite is a 2019 Korean film directed by Bong Joon-Ho. This film swept the Oscar Awards this year. It won the Oscars for various categories like Best Film, Best International Feature, Best Director, and Best Original Screenplay.
