Superstar Rajinikanth has had an eventful 2019 as he started off this year with the release of director Karthik Subbaraj’s Petta, which ended up as a blockbuster hit worldwide, according to trade reports. The actor also shot for AR Murugadoss’s forthcoming film Darbar.
After wrapping up the shooting of Darbar, Rajinikanth went on a 10-day spiritual trip to the Himalayas with his daughter Aishwarya Dhanush. When he came back, he surprised us all by announcing that his 168th film will have Director Siruthai Siva at the helm.
Reports suggest that Rajinikanth took some time off from his busy schedule to relax and is also taking this time to prep for his upcoming film. The latest development is that the shooting of his 168th film with director Siruthai Siva will commence in the third week of December.
The film, which is tentatively called Thalaivar 168, is tipped as a family drama set in the village backdrop. The film, which is produced by Sun Pictures has music scored by D Imman. The rest of the cast and crew will be announced in the coming weeks.
