Ram Pothineni and Akhil Akkineni to lock horns at box-office
It is a common tradition in the movie industry that heroes head into a clash at the box-office and for the coming summer, it is Akhil and Ram who are making plans to release their respective movies around the same time.
After the blockbuster iSmart Shankar, hero Ram Pothineni is now gearing up to come up with a thriller film called Red. The movie got launched a few days back in Hyderabad and it is being helmed by Tirumala Kishore. The regular shoot of the film will start soon. The film is the official remake of a Tamil film Thadam. Arun Vijay played the lead in the original.
Meanwhile, we hear that the makers of this film are planning to release it on April 9.
On the flip side, the prestigious production house Geeta Arts is also planning to release the untitled Akhil Akkineni & Bommarillu Bhasker's film on the same day, considering the long weekend advantage.
April 9th happens to be Thursday and Good Friday falls on April 10. The 11th and 12th marks weekend and again on 14th, there is a public holiday due to Ambedkar Jayanthi.
Thus, the makers of both the films don't want to miss this release date. There are still six months left and anything can happen in the meantime. Stay tuned for more updates on both these films.
