Renu Desai is popularly known simply as Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s ex-wife. Renu Desai entered the Telugu film fraternity from the field of modelling. She made her film debut with a Tamil film with James Pandu. After that, her first Telugu film with Pawan Kalyan was a huge success. Renu, who co-starred with Pawan Kalyan in the film Badri, fell in love with Pawan. Pawan Kalyan and Renu Desai had been together for almost nine years. During the rough phase of filing for a divorce, Renu gave birth to her son in 2010.
However, after a long period of turmoil for divorce, they have come to an understanding and got divorced. While Pawan took on politics, Renu succeeded further towards cinema. After her divorce with Pawan, she became a producer-cum-director with a Marathi movie 'Ishq wala love'. She also worked as a costume designer for a few films. After her break up with Pawan, she started staying in Pune with her children. There were rumours that she was going to get married to another man, but that news didn’t go any further than an engagement.
Renu Desai has preferred to keep away from movies for sometime now. However, she is active on social media. She shares her opinions on many issues on several social media platforms. She even posted a lot about CoronaVirus, ever since December last year. Recently, she put up an emotional post on the occasion of the 16th birthday of her son Akira Nandan, which caused Anthony to get emotional. Renu Desai's latest post on social media addressing her son in the time of the quarantine is very interesting. She shared photos of her pet dog, Phoebe, looking out of the window along with her son Akira for which she has been receiving a lot of love from her fan base.
