Powerstar Pawan Kalyan's ex-wife Renu Desai has taken up her passion for being behind the camera, after getting separated from her husband. Renu has directed and produced a couple of Marathi films till now. They have been successful at the box-office too. Meanwhile, she is now prepping up to direct her maiden Telugu film.
Renu stated that this will be a children's based film which will deal with the plight of farmers in our country. When asked why she chose to make a children's film on a serious topic, Renu said that the present generation kids don't know about the farming culture and the sufferings of our farmers. Thus, she is trying to make the film from the kids' perspective. Renu hoped that her film might bring a small change in the society.
Renu added that she used to spend her childhood holidays in her village. Her family used to have a farm and thus Renu is aware of all the issues faced by the farmer. Thus, she thinks that it is a story that should get showcased on the big screen. The film will be set in a Telangana village. Renu has already completed the location Reece and will start the shoot very soon.
