Team RRR had wrapped up the shooting part a week or so ago and the film is in the post-production phase now. Meanwhile, the makers of the Rajamouli directorial, after much deliberation, have locked the release date.
As we had reported earlier, the makers have locked early Sankranthi release for the film. 7th January is the date that is in consideration for the film.
The makers of RRR will be calling for a press meet by the end of September and they will be officially announcing the release date at the media meet. It is all but confirmed that the film will be out in theaters early next year.
The entire post-production will be wrapped up by November or early December this year. The official announcement regarding the release date is under a month from now.
RRR will be releasing just ahead of the Sankranthi season. It might have to lock horns with other biggies like Bheemla Nayak, Sarkaru Vaari Paata, and Radhe Shyam which are announced for theatrical release next Sankranthi season.
RRR will mark the coming together of Jr NTR, Ram Charan, and Rajamouli. The film also stars Ajay Devgan and Alia Bhatt in important roles. DVV Entertainments have reportedly spent upwards of Rs 300 crores on the project.
