SRK's Pathaan Continues To Be Shrouded In Controversies

Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan is set to return to the theatres after five years. His last theatrical release was Zero, which was released in 2018. The film turned out to be a major disappointment, following which SRK had taken some time off and took quite some time to choose his next film. He is now set to return to the theatres with Pathaan, which is set to be released on January 25th. The film has been at the center of controversies since day one and continues to be so even now.

The main controversy surrounding the film is regarding the visuals of the song Besharam Rang. Leading lady Deepika Padukone has been seen in several bikinis in the song, grooving sensually throughout it. The first controversy came up when she was wearing a saffron bikini, which upset a group of people. Following that, issues were raised regarding the degree of nudity on screen. The censor board has now reportedly asked the makers of Pathaan to tone down the sensual visuals and certain angles of Deepika Padukone from the song. However, the censor board has not said anything about removing the part where Deepika donned a saffron bikini. Siddharth Anand is the director of Pathaan, which is an action-adventure film. There are good expectations for the film. Many hoped that the film would be a much-needed breather for Bollywood after Bollywood has seen nothing but flops in the last few years. It is now to be seen how the film will turn out to be upon release.
