Suriya Marks 25 Years In Cinema

While Suriya basks in the glory of his National Award for 'Soorarai Pottru' and the tremendous success of his cameo appearance in Kamal Haasan's 'Vikram,' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the star actor celebrates his 25th year in Tamil film today. His 1997 film Nerrukku Ner, directed by Vasanth, was released on the same day (September 6).

Today represents a remarkable milestone for actress Suriya, who has amassed a massive fan base over the last 25 years. Suriya is a major figure in the South, with a strong fan following in Kerala and Andhra Pradesh. Many current performers have found inspiration and optimism in their profession.
