Suriya has been on a roll with his performances in the last few years. With Jai Bhim, Soorarai Pottru, and his five-minute cameo in Kamal Haasan's Vikram, he has gotten back the charm again. Recently, Jai Bhim was screened at the IFFI Goa 2022 where producer Rajsekar Pandian said that Jai Bhim sequel is in the works.
In an interview with India Today.in, Jai Bhim producer Rajsekar Pandian formed that Jai Bhim will have a sequel. He said, " "Yes, Jai Bhim 2 is definitely happening as I confirmed at the film festival. We (2D Entertainment) are making a film with TJ Gnanavel next - but that is a different script. Once he wraps up this project, we will work on Jai Bhim 2. Currently, the Jai Bhim sequel is only in the ideation stage. It needs a lot of preparation and research. And there are a lot of stories about Justice Chandru that need to be told."
He also expressed his pride in creating an impact with Jai Bhim. He said, "It is satisfying to see Jai Bhim creating a solid impact in society. Two days after the film was released, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin recognized the Irular community. They are all addresses to people. And to see them benefit was so satisfying."
