Vicky Kaushal is one such actor who invests in every character he undertakes. He has done some amazing films such as Masaan (2015), Sanju (2018), Raazi (2018), Uri: The Surgical Strike (2019) Lust Stories (2019). He has been a part of many box office hits. Though he didn't reach this height as easily as one might think. He opened up saying his starting out days were so bad that he was ready to pay to be cast in films. He just wanted to act no matter what role.
News18 reported that Vicky was desperate to get into films to a point where getting paid didn't matter. He said, "I just wanted work and do good acting. I would always get selected in the top 2 or 3 during auditions, but they would reject me after asking my budget. I would think that 'maybe, they have rejected me because of my budget.' So then, I started asking them their budget. When I said I would do in their budget, they would still reject me. Then I said I would work for free, they would still not take me. At last, I had to say that I would pay but give me work."
His debut was in Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana (2012) by Sameer Sharma where he played a small role. He got his big break three years later through Maasan. Where his compelling performance left his fans shook. It is still one of the movies that are often mentioned in conversations. He won his very first national Award for Uri.
He is currently a part of Sardar Udham Singh by Shoojit Sircar. It is a biopic about Jallianwala Bagh massacre. It will be releasing in October.
