Thalapathy Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi paired up for the first time in director Lokesh Kanagaraj's Master. Produced by Xavier Britto, the film hit the theatres on January 13. Sixteen days after the film's release, Master started streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Master received overwhelming reviews from Vijay's fans. Now, Vijay's Master has completed a month in theatre. This is probably the first time that a Tamil film is having a simultaneous run in theatres and OTT platform. Celebrating the occasion, director Lokesh Kanagaraj visited a popular theatre in Chennai city and thanked everyone for their support.
A video of Lokesh Kanagaraj interacting with fans in theatre is going viral on social media. In the video, he said, "I am glad that you all have come to the theatre even on the 30th day. I thank you all for watching the film and making it a grand success. I will sit and watch the entire film.” Rakki Cinemas shared the video on its official Twitter page and wrote, "@Dir_Lokesh Sir thanking fans and families @rakkicinemas for #Master30AtRakki Celebration (sic)." Master also features Malavika Mohanan, Andrea Jeremiah, Arjun Das, Gouri Kishan and Shanthanu Bhagyaraj.
