Vijay's Master movie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, hit the theatres on January 13. Being the first mainstream film to release in theatres after the novel coronavirus pandemic, the film has done exceptionally well. However, Master and the entire team had faced their own share of troubles before the film's release. From Vijay being pulled out of shoot by Income Tax sleuths to the 10-month long wait due to the Covid-19 pandemic, they faced it all. But, that was not all. two days before the film's release, a few clips of Master found its way to the internet.
Later, the makers filed a complaint with the Cyber Crime and found the culprit who leaked the clips illegally. An employee from a digital company had leaked the clips. Now, Lalit Kumar, one of the producers of Seven Screen Studio, had sent a notice to the digital company seeking compensation of a whopping Rs 25 crore for causing distress to the makers of Master. However, the company is yet to respond to this notice. Master, which also stars Vijay Sethupathi, is enjoying a dream run at the box office.
