Alencier is an actor who came from theatre and became a regular presence in Malayalam cinema. In 1998, he made his film debut in the film Daya. But he got noticed with movies like Njan Steve Lopez and Maheshinte Prathikaram.
Now, what the actor said about Mammootty is going viral. Alencier once told Master Bin Channel about the first time he met and interacted with Mammootty.
"I am scared to act with him. It has been said in many interviews. When I went to act in the movie Kasaba, I didn't know that he had cast me because of what he said.
He cast us. It is only later that we know that he has seen Maheshinte Prathikaram. When I arrived, I did not see the same man I had heard about. While shooting in Mangalore, he was dressed as a police officer. After taking a step forward, when he saw me, he took that step back and came back and said, "My name is Mammootty."
He only thought that he would raise his hand when he left. I laughed then. "For so long, he was a man who inspired awe and respect."
He asked me not to put cotton in my ears during the fight scene in Kasaba and got heated with the standmaster, who didn't give it to me. Then he told me that I should be careful and that if the ear goes away, it will be ours. That's when I realised the care he shows for an actor he's with," said Alencier.
