After the success of Baahubali and KGF: Chapter 1, the regional filmmakers are testing their luck by having a pan-Indian release to their films. But some of the films have misfired in this attempt. One such film is Avane Srimannarayana, directed by Sachin B Ravi. The film features Rakshit Shetty in the lead role.
The Kannada version released on the 27th December and the Telugu version, Athade Srimannarayana hit the screens on the 1st of January. Ace producer Dil Raju bought the Telugu theatrical rights of the movie. Everyone expected that Raju will promote the film in a big way in Telugu but nothing of that sort has happened.
The producer has only offered his name on the film's posters and didn't promote it in any way. Sources claimed that he wasn't entirely happy with the film's output and decided not to promote it. Due to lack of promotions and fairly unengaging content, Athade Srimannarayana is having a poor run in the Telugu states. Raju did the same thing for his last production venture, Iddari Lokam Okkate, as well. As the Telugu version has bombed, Rakshit Shetty and the team are now hoping for the good run in Tamil and Malayalam territories. The Tamil and Malayalam versions are hitting the screens today.
